Settling in

Stella likes to do the majority of her sleeping during the day, so she's conked out in most of her pictures. I'm going to have to start taking some photos in the middle of the night. She went on her first walk today - a quick trip around the block. We may have to schedule a some more outside time. She's getting a little yellow and needs to catch some rays.

Roy continues to warm to her. The first night he was a puzzled and kept barking at the crib. Now he wants to lick her face any chance he gets. I've heard people say a dog's mouth is cleaner than a human's, but if you could smell Roy's breath you would take issue with that theory. We're going to schedule him for a teeth cleaning since there is really no way to stop the licking.

Stella's cousin Maggie has taken a keen interest in her and always wants to be close to "the baby." The picture below is from the hospital, but the scene gets repeated almost daily.
