The original happy camper

Stella went camping this weekend for the first time. We went with my friends Bill and Elissa Skinner (who Stella always refers to a "Lisa and Bill Skinner" - full name for Bill always). We went to a state park. It worked out great, although when we approached the site, I had my reservations. This was not a wilderness experience - lots of campers and LOTS of people. It was probably perfect for Stella though.

It was a cool night, which made for good sleeping. Stella was a little reluctant to nod off, but once she did, she went the distance, not waking up until 8:30 in the morning. Enjoy the pictures.

By the way, if you are wondering about the band-aid on Stella's face, Sara was helping her get set up in the tent and somehow managed to scratch Stella with her fingernail. Likely story. Whatever happened, it was a pretty nice scratch and bled a bit. Naturally, I called social services. Sara will be spending the next few months at a work house.
