Hunkering down and baking

The weather has turned and it doesn't appear to have any plans of turning back until next spring. It snowed earlier this week and has been cold, overcast, and rainy/sleety the last few days. Between the weather and generalized swine flu mania, there isn't much incentive to leave the house, so Sara and Stella decided to pack it in today and do some baking. Not sure what happened to Stella's shirt.

We'll be starting a new feature on the blog called "words of wisdom." Many of the most amusing occurrences around here lately have more to do with things Stella says than things she does, so I will attempt to capture some of it. We'll go with a minimum of set-up - just enough to speculate how the conversation got to where it ended up.

Words of wisdom: "We won't cut off your head daddy because then I wouldn't be able to talk to you because you can't talk just to a body" Delivered with a jovial laugh and an earnest tone shortly after nearly zipping a chunk of my neck skin into the zipper on my coat.
