Soccer, graduation, and the return of an old friend

Stella graduated from preschool today - the inaugural class at Holy Spirit. As part of the festivities, we were treated to a song and dance performance, a picnic, and of course the diploma ceremony. As one might imagine, everything was appropriately understated, but not lacking in significance for those in attendance.

Stella also began playing soccer this week. She and her friend Audrey are signed up for a rec department program - once a week for an hour. The first half hour of each session is drills and practice, the second half hour an informal scrimmage. I was impressed with how quickly Stella picked up the basic concept. She ran hard and enjoyed herself. It would appear soccer is a hit.

Finally, we have witnessed the return of the bounce house for the season. Lucy seemed to enjoy her first experience and will join the masses who request its regular inflation. I am sure we will be serenaded by the roar of the blower for many weeks to come.
