Christmas tree hunter
This was Stella's ultra warm outfit for our trip to cut down our own Christmas tree. It was very cold here today. In fact it was so cold that Stella didn't get out of the car, so we don't have any pictures of her felling an actual tree. It also meant I had to get down on the ground and do the sawing (I had planned on sending her in under the lower branches with the saw). No worries though, we bagged our tree. This past week Stella started going to bed much earlier than she used to. She seems to konk out around 6 or 7 pm now. In addition to the change in bedtime, we are also trying adjust her expectations around our middle of the night response to her fussing. Sara got in the habit of getting up and feeding Stella every time she woke up and made some noise. This was getting frequent enough that Sara wasn't getting much sleep and Stella was getting a little hefty. So, we put Stella in her "talking chair" (see below) and had a chat. She reluctantly agreed to only one nighttime feeding, but demanded a concurrent diaper change - a reasonable request in light of a recent incident (apparently there are limits to how much pee even these modern diapers will absorb).
