Fine dining and smiling

I believe the green substance you see to your right is puree of beans. Mmmm. Stella is experi- menting with actual food in addition to her staples of milk, formula and rice cereal. The beans are remarkably constant - green in, green out. Stella has the swallowing thing down pretty well. She is impatient though and if you let her get too hungry she won't put up with the added time that eating normal food requires. If she paid any attention to me when I eat, she would learn that the future of instant gratification is in solid food.

A full belly equals a full smile. What was once rare is now commonplace, but you never get tired of seeing it.
