Does this hat make my head look big?

Sara knit this hat for Stella. It's very nice, and very big. I don't know much about knitting. Maybe smaller needles? Stella doesn't seem to mind. She's been sporting a lot of different hats lately. See below for another look.

We're also expanding into some new outfits now that she is a little bigger. Along the lines of the hat, I think the boots in the photo below make her feet look big. Of course all of this oversizing on the top and bottom has a slimming effect on the midsection, which I am told most women are after.
