Cleared for take-off

How's that for a giant carpet runway? Plenty of fun for rolling, but even more enticing when you're up on all fours, flaps down, engines roaring. Stella spent the weekend in Milwaukee for a visit with her grandparents and enjoyed the massive expanses of carpet that she can't find in her own heavily wood-floored home.

Although not crawling just yet, the face plants are a little easier to swallow on a carpeted surface. Her attempts go something like this:

1. Up on all fours
2. Begin rocking front to back
3. Push forward with legs
4. Hands don't move, arms hinge at shoulder.
5. Face plant
6. Repeat.

Sara and I enjoyed the carpet too. Stella is quick with the rolling, but with this much carpet it takes her awhile to get anywhere of interest/concern. In our house you have about two seconds before she hits some hardwood.

It was a nice visit with a lots of laughter as Stella demonstrates below. The verdict is still out on whether chocolate can grow mold. 1 vote yes, 2 votes no, 2 abstentions. Regardless, eating chocolate within a year of purchase just makes sense. If you are debating the biology of the white furry substance on your candies you have had them too long.
