Mad hatters

We made some hats the other day for Nolan and Stella to wear on our trip to Nolan's house. They held up pretty well until we got outside and the wind hit. Thankfully they were only made of newspaper. Sara managed to hang onto hers and continues to wear it around town.

In other news, Stella has been testing the range of her vocal chords. She will frequently and unexpectedly begin screaming a very high pitched scream - sometimes for no reason, other times to break into a conversation. Much like the crying of a baby, it is more tolerable in the outdoors than it is inside a car or the house. We are attempting to ignore it, so as not to encourage the behavior further, although this is easier said than done when your ears are bleeding all over your shirt. Hopefully this is a phase that will pass quickly.
