Birthday Party

Stella threw a birthday party for me on Tuesday. I came home from work to hats and cake. The hats were Stella size, so they didn't fit my big head too well, but they certainly contributed to the festive atmosphere.

In contrast to her fear of candles at her own birthday party just a month ago, Stella was quite eager to help me extinguish my candles, as shown in the rather smokey photo below. She was also more than happy to help me eat my cake.

In other news, I introduced Stella to one of my favorite childhood pastimes - making forts out of the couch cushions. She kept wanting me to come inside which caused the whole thing to come down. Naturally this was very exciting and probably had something to do with her interest in inviting me inside.

We leave for Milwaukee tomrrow - keeping with our apparent standard of visiting both sets of grandparents on successvie weekends.
