New driveway and a big pile of mulch

We now have a driveway, a very long driveway, which Stella has adorned with sidewalk chalk art and tire tracks from her bike. It has been a long time coming, but it is here. With it has come the obligation to begin what was started with the front yard plantings. We had someone plant all the trees and shrubs, but we opted to put in the edging and mulch ourselves. Even Lucy has been part of the action, riding shotgun as Sara shovels the mulch into the wheelbarrow.
