4th of July

We had our annual 4th of July party yesterday.  The weather was great and we had about 40 people here.  Adults we significantly outnumbered, but the kids were fully occupied with the giant bounce house, horse trough swimming pool, croquet, bocce ball, swing set, sandbox and food.
Sara put on another fabulous fireworks display, but has vowed to purchase illegal fireworks from Wisconsin next year.  I guess she is tired of getting shamed by the war zone quality explosions from the neighbor's yard.
In other news, the girls got bunk beds.  Lately they have been taking turns sleeping on each other's floor, so we finally broke down and put bunk beds in Lucy's room.  They pretty much sleep together now and Stella has, as she calls it, a "spare room" for reading and such.
